Hardwood Floor Installation
Getting new hardwood floors put in is one of the best things you can do for a home or commercial space. We handle the whole thing measuring, prepping the subfloor, laying the wood, finishing it up.
We work with solid hardwood and engineered wood depending on what makes sense for your space. Got a basement or a spot with a little more moisture?
We'll steer you toward the right material so you're not dealing with warped boards six months from now. We do installs all over Parma and nearby areas like Brook Park, Middleburg Heights, and Seven Hills.
Hardwood Floor Repair
Scratches, gouges, boards that are squeaking or popping up these things happen. Especially in Ohio where the winters get cold and dry and then summer hits and everything swells back up. Wood moves with the seasons and sometimes that causes problems.
We fix boards that have shifted, fill in gaps, replace pieces that are too far gone, and sand out scratches that are driving you nuts every time the light hits them. A lot of times people think they need a whole new floor when really a good repair job is all it takes.
Hardwood Floor Maintenance
Here's the thing about hardwood if you take care of it, it lasts forever. If you ignore it, you end up paying for repairs you didn't have to. We offer maintenance services like refinishing, recoating, and buffing to keep your floors looking sharp.
Refinishing means sanding down to bare wood and starting fresh. Recoating is quicker we scuff the surface and put a new layer of finish on top. Which one you need depends on how worn things are. We'll take a look and tell you straight up what makes sense.
Other Flooring Types We Offer
Hardwood
Hardwood is what we do most and what we know best. It’s durable, looks great, and adds real value to a home or commercial space. You can refinish it over and over again so it lasts for decades if you take care of it. We work with solid hardwood and engineered hardwood depending on your subfloor situation and budget. If you want floors that age well and never really go out of style, hardwood is hard to beat.
Laminate
Laminate looks a lot like hardwood but costs less and holds up better in high traffic areas or spots where spills happen a lot. It’s a layered product with a photo layer on top that mimics wood grain, over a dense core. It’s not the same as real wood and you can’t refinish it, but for rental properties, basements, or rooms where the budget is tight, laminate is a solid choice. Today’s laminate looks way better than the stuff from 15 years ago a lot of people can’t tell the difference at a glance.
Tile
Tile is the go to for bathrooms, kitchens, and mudrooms anywhere that gets wet on a regular basis. It’s basically waterproof, easy to clean, and lasts a really long time if it’s installed correctly. The install is more involved than wood or laminate because you’re dealing with mortar and grout, but when it’s done right it looks sharp and holds up to just about anything. We do porcelain and ceramic tile installs for both residential and commercial spaces.
Carpet
Carpet is still a great option for bedrooms, basements, and offices where you want something soft underfoot and a little noise reduction. It’s one of the more affordable flooring options upfront and there are a ton of styles and pile heights to pick from. It does require more maintenance than hard flooring regular vacuuming and occasional deep cleaning but for comfort and warmth, especially during cold Parma winters, it’s tough to argue with carpet in the right room.
Vinyl
Vinyl especially luxury vinyl plank (LVP) has gotten really popular over the last few years and for good reason. It’s 100% waterproof, comfortable to walk on, looks like wood or tile, and can go pretty much anywhere in the house including basements and bathrooms. It’s also one of the easier installs which helps keep costs down. If you have kids, pets, or just a busy household, vinyl is worth a serious look. It’s tough stuff and a lot easier to live with than people expect.

Our 5-Step Hardwood Floor Installation Process
| Phase | Description |
|---|---|
| Free Estimate and Walkthrough | We come out, look at the space, talk about what you want, and give you a written quote. No pressure, no games. |
| Material Selection | We help you pick the right wood species, finish, and plank width for your space and your budget |
| Subfloor Prep | Before any wood goes down, the subfloor has to be clean, dry, and level. We handle all of this. It's not glamorous but it matters a lot. |
| Installation | The wood goes down. We nail or glue depending on the material and subfloor type. We take our time here — rushing this step causes problems later. |
| Finishing and Final Inspection | We sand, stain if needed, and apply the finish. Then we do a walkthrough with you to make sure everything looks right before we call it done. |
Hardwood Flooring FAQs
How do I know if I need refinishing or just a recoat?
If your floor is scratched but the wood itself isn't damaged just the finish a recoat might do it. If the scratches go into the wood, or the color is super faded and uneven, you probably need a full refinish. We can tell you for sure after we take a look.
Can hardwood floors be installed over concrete?
Yes, but you need to use engineered hardwood or glue down solid hardwood — you can't nail into concrete. We also need to check for moisture before we do anything. Concrete and moisture don't mix well with wood floors.
How long do I have to stay off the floors after installation?
Usually 24–48 hours after the final finish coat. You can walk on them lightly after that, but you should wait a full week before putting furniture back and putting rugs down. Rugs trap moisture and can mess up a fresh finish if you put them down too soon.
Will my hardwood floors work with radiant heat?
Yes, but you have to be careful. Engineered hardwood handles radiant heat better than solid because it's more dimensionally stable. The heat can't go above a certain temperature or you'll get cracking and gaps. Let us know upfront if you have radiant heat and we'll make sure we use the right materials.
My floors are really old is refinishing even worth it?
Probably yes. Old hardwood is often better quality than new stuff because it came from slower-grown trees with tighter grain. As long as the boards aren't too thin from previous sanding jobs, there's a good chance we can make them look amazing again. We've brought back floors that people were ready to rip out and it's always satisfying when that happens.
